Technicus LLC is a small business composed of a creative group of professionals from the Appalachia Region of the United States. Brilliant writers, designers, photographers, cinematographers, developers, artists, analysts, and engineers realizing higher potentials of media products through project collaborations. Greater than the sum of its parts, Technicus leverages decades of commercial/industry, academia, and government experience to create highly impactful and technical communication products in print, video, and digital/web environments.

Our World

As the pace at which technology improves our lives, we all have to face a constant risk to our very existence: obsolescence. Every day, a new device, a new process, a new network emerges and replaces its predecessor. Keeping up with the pace of progress, rising above the confusion and understanding the world is a challenge everyone around the planet is facing.

From this space, Technicus has emerged as a conduit for creatives to reach their potential through collaboration with subject matter experts from all fields of study. The constructive overlap of our skills network defines how we achieve a higher standard in technical media/communication products.

Technical Media

Imagery is the fundamental way we receive data. The human retina transmits data to the brain at amazing speeds of around 10 million bits per second (about the speed of your Ethernet connection). The time it take to read 40 words is about 10 seconds, while the average attention span is 8 seconds. The written word is important, but reading 40 words in 10 seconds utilizes only 1/10,000 of the routine human retina-brain data capacity. So, it’s easy to understand why a good photo is worth a thousand words.
